Description
JUAN GIL YELLOW LABEL
Juan Gil Yellow Label is a young red wine with character. Produced with very expressive Monastrell (Mourvedre) grape varietal – a typical variety of Jumilla, it has been aged for 4 months in French and American oak barrels.
The grapes come from old vines over 40 years old, planted at an altitude of 700 metres above sea level on sandy, chalky, stony soil.
The climate is extremely dry, with virtually no rainfall throughout the year, and a long cold winter. Day-to-night temperature fluctuation is in the range of 25°C .
The harvest is done manually. The grape is macerated and fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 25°C for 15 days. After malolactic fermentation and a short aging of 4 months in French and American oak, it is remained in stainless steel tanks until bottling.
Juan Gil winery is built in 1916 in Jumilla, Murcia, SPAIN.
We recommend moderate consumption of wine as part of the Mediterranean diet. Both wine and extra virgin olive oil are rich in antioxidants.
NOTE: Contains sulphites. Consumption of wine during childhood, pregnancy and in case of any sulphite allergy may cause serious damage to health.
