Description
JUAN GIL BLUE LABEL
Juan Gil Blue Label is an aged red wine with limited production. It is made from 60% Monastrell, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Syrah, and aged for 18 months in selected best French and American oak barrels. It is very concentrated and complex.
The grapes come from old vines over 40 years old, which are planted at an altitude of 700 metres above sea level on sandy, chalky, stony soil. The climate is extremely dry, with virtually no rainfall throughout the year, and a long cold winter.
This type of soil combined with the day-to-night temperature fluctuation in the range of 25°C favours a scarce grape production. As a result, the wine has an exceptional concentration of flavours.
The harvest is done manually. The grape is macerated and fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 25°C for 15 days. After malolactic fermentation and aging of 18 months in French and American oak, it is remained in stainless steel tanks until bottling.
We recommend moderate consumption of wine as part of the Mediterranean diet. Wine and extra virgin olive oil are rich in antioxidants.
NOTE: Contains sulphites. Consumption of wine during childhood, pregnancy and in case of any sulphite allergy may cause serious damage to health.
