Agropecuaria Ecológica Sierra de Alcaraz

Agropecuaria Ecológica Sierra de Alcaraz (AESA) has been practising sustainable organic farming for more than fifteen years with a mission to protect the environment for future generations, and produce premium quality organic extra virgin olive oil.

Its olive groves with 3,000 hectares of olive trees are located in Alcaraz, Albacete, Castilla–La Mancha, SPAIN, spanning through the Prebética mountain range with an average height of 650-750 meters above the sea. Harvest season is always early, in October/November each year.

Fragrant & Fluid – It’s an Art.

AESA extra virgin olive oil is unique due to its carefully crafted blend of different olive varietals such as Cornicabra, and more widespread varietals like Arbequina, Picual, Picuda, and Hojiblanca.

Because these olive trees have to adapt to the extreme climate and continental high mountain range, and they are also naturally rainfed, the olives harvested each year are able to produce a wonderful and harmonic blend of extra virgin olive oil – delicate and mild due to the presence of Arbequina, and sweet because of Hojiblanca, Picuda as well as Arbequina.

Using state-of-the-art milling machine to crush the olives at a temperature around 20oC, these early harvest coupage blends preserve most of its phytonutrients and retain its herbaceous aroma and taste.

Produced from olives that are harvested on the very first day when the olives are just ready for oil extraction, it is made with specially selected olives, mainly Picual and Arbequina, and is processed exclusively by cold mechanical procedures within 6 hours of harvest. It is very aromatic and green fruity. Awarded Best Organic Oil in the World at Biofach.
